Flower Essences

What is a Flower Essence?

Essences are also referred to as a vibrational remedy, as they can be also made by different gemstones. Flower essences hold the energetic imprint or as I like to call it the personality of the flower. They are preserved with a small amount of brandy. Essences can help positively influence new ways of being and perceiving in our lives. They interact with our subtle energy systems on a deep cellular level. They encourage the awakening of our divine self and can assist with letting go of energies that are not serving us. Essences gently invite healing and transformation into our lives.

My current flower essences were extracted with natural spring water from Canmore under the sun of the Autumn Equinox and charged under the waxing Moon in Sagittarius, 2020. All flowers are from my garden and have been tended to with love all summer.

Courtney’s essences are a favourite part of my day… maybe it is the ritual it has become, the pause and the intention as I drop them in, but mostly it is how steady I have felt since taking them. I cannot explain it any other way. In my body and in my mind. I have also used the Sage & Usnea on the first onset of any cold or flu symptom and have been healthy so far, all Winter. You can feel these are made with care and intention and I am grateful for them.

Herbal Tinctures

What is a Herbal Tincture?

A herbal tincture is a concentrated liquid extract that is typically made by soaking herbs, berries, barks, resins, roots, and other natural substances in alcohol for weeks to extract the active natural health-boosting chemicals. Tinctures make it easy to consume nutrients that would otherwise be nondigestible because they are suspended in alcohol and readily absorbed into the bloodstream. All of my herbal tinctures are raw, wild-crafted, and are from plants produced in my gardens or ethically foraged for when the timing is just right in the Canadian forest with love and respect.

You are responsible for consulting a medical professional before trying any new herb or remedy mentioned on the website or any related forum. I’m a botanical enthusiast and not licensed or registered healthcare practitioner or doctor. Please consult your medical care provider before using herbal medicine, particularly if you have a known medical condition or if you are pregnant or nursing. You are responsible for your own health. Some herbs are contraindicated with certain pharmaceutical drugs.

There are many plants and mushrooms that can make you sick or are deadly poisonous. Be 100% of your identification before you harvest any plant or mushroom. Additionally, sometimes a new food, even properly identified, can cause an unusual reaction – ranging from gastric intolerance to a full-blown allergy. It is your responsibility to make sure you are harvesting the correct plant or mushroom and it is your choice to try any new food. I cannot be responsible for incorrect identification or reactions to plants or fungi.

You are responsible for your own choices. This includes but is not limited to the ingestion, application, or other use of alcohol or any poisonous, toxic, or allergenic substance. If you are not of legal age to consume alcohol, Sanctuary Consulting recommends that you refrain from the purchase, consumption, or use of alcohol in your herbal treatments. If you elect to disregard such recommendation, you do so at your own risk, and Sanctuary Consulting accepts no liability relating to or arising from your activities. I cannot predict how a remedy will work for you. Always refer to your medical care provider for questions about your health.
